Joining VRT isn't about adding another jersey to the wardrobe. It's about becoming part of a club that rides together, races together and backs each other every step of the way.
Some members race every weekend. Others never pin on a number. What brings everyone together is a shared love of cycling and a community that's always happy to welcome another wheel into the bunch.
You don't need to be the fastest rider or know anyone at the club to fit in. The best way to see if VRT is right for you is to join a ride first.

Joining VRT gives you access to far more than a ride calendar. It's a community of riders, regular training, racing opportunities and the support to enjoy every kilometre.

Ride with people who know your name and are always happy to see you roll up.

Road, gravel and training rides for every kind of rider.

Support, encouragement and opportunities to race at every level.

Develop your skills, build confidence and keep progressing.

Because some of the best chats happen after the ride.

Wear the colours with pride wherever the road takes you.

The best way to see if VRT is right for you is to join us for up to three trial rides before becoming a member.
If you already know a VRT member, you can simply arrange to ride with them. If you don’t know anyone in the club, contact the Club Secretary and we’ll introduce you to a member who will look after you on your first ride.
Each trial rider is sponsored by an existing VRT member. This isn’t a formal process. It simply means a member is happy to ride with you, introduce you to the group and vouch for you during your trial period. While we prefer you ride with the same member where possible, it’s not essential.
You’re welcome to join any VRT ride during your three-ride trial period. If you’re unsure which ride best suits your experience or fitness, just ask and we’ll point you in the right direction
After your trial rides, if you’d like to become a member, simply choose the membership option that’s right for you and complete your registration.
While VRT is primarily an adult cycling club, young riders are our future and many in their teens keep us on our toes in the bunch!!! Juniors are more than welcome to join us on club rides and activities. We're committed to making sure every junior rider feels safe, supported and respected on and off the bike.
We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously. VRT follows the AusCycling Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy, complies with WA Working with Children legislation, and has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment or grooming of any kind. Adults in child-related roles — coaches, and committee members — hold current Working with Children cards. Our policy can be found here.
While parents and guardians remain responsible for their child's participation unless specifically agreed otherwise, we encourage families to stay involved — come along to rides where you can, and reach out any time you have a question or concern.
Getting Started
If you're under 18 and keen to ride with VRT, a parent or guardian will need to complete a consent form before you join us. Get in touch below and we'll walk you through it.

Club kit is more than a uniform, it's a way of representing the people you ride with.
Members racing under the VRT banner are expected to wear approved club kit in line with our Kit Policy, helping create a professional, recognisable presence wherever we compete.

Choose the AusCycling membership that suits how you ride, select Vic Park Racing Team as your club, and we'll take care of the rest.
We'll welcome you into the community, add you to the club communications and get you ready for your first ride.
If you're wondering about memberships, racing or your first ride, you'll probably find the answer here.
